It is made by the esterification reaction of rosin and alcohols under the action of a catalyst. Rosin ester is a light yellow transparent solid with a variety of excellent physical and chemical properties, such as high softening point, good solubility and reactivity. In industry, rosin ester is widely used in many fields such as coatings, inks, adhesives, rubber processing aids, etc., as a key component such as plasticizers, curing agents, adhesives and modifiers, effectively improving the performance and quality of products.

Rosin is hydrogenated to produce hydrogenated rosin. Due to its excellent properties, hydrogenated rosin ester is widely used in many fields.
